Moving Your Business to BizCore: A Step-by-Step Getting-Started Guide
Switching Is Easier Than You Think
Many business owners delay new software because they imagine weeks of data entry and a shop that stops trading while everyone learns. With a little preparation, you can move your business onto BizCore in a single day — and keep selling while you do it.
Here is the plan we recommend.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Sign up for BizCore with your name, business name and email, and choose a plan. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and no card is needed. Your first store is created for you automatically, and you are the owner — you can never be locked out of your own business.
When you first log in, a short guided tour shows you around the dashboard, sales, inventory, expenses, invoices, staff and reports.
Step 2: Set Up Your Business Profile and Stores
Add your business details, currency and tax settings, then create a store for each branch or warehouse. Add the bank accounts you receive money into, so transfers and card payments are recorded against the right account from day one.
Step 3: Import Your Products
You do not have to type your product list. BizCore's import tool takes a CSV or Excel file:
- Download the products template.
- Copy your existing list into it — name, SKU, category, cost price and selling price.
- Upload it. BizCore matches your columns automatically, and you can adjust the matching if your headings are different.
- Review the preview. Any row with a problem is listed with the reason, so you can fix it before anything is saved.
Customers and suppliers are imported the same way.
Step 4: Enter Your Opening Stock
Count what is on your shelves and import it with the opening stock template — quantity and cost per product and store. BizCore adds the stock and records its value in your accounts automatically. Because opening stock affects your books, this import is all-or-nothing: if any row has an error, nothing is saved until it is fixed.
If you are coming from another accounting system, you can also import opening account balances — cash, bank, loans and owner's equity — so your books start exactly where your old ones ended.
Step 5: Add Your Staff
Invite each staff member and choose their role: store manager, cashier, salesperson, inventory manager, accountant or administrator. Limit staff to specific stores where needed. Each person gets their own login, so every sale and stock movement is recorded against the person who made it. For larger teams, import staff in one go.
Step 6: Make a Test Sale
Ring up a real sale at the point of sale. Watch the stock level go down, the sale appear in your sales list and the dashboard update. Then open a cash shift for each cashier so drawers are counted from the first day.
Step 7: Run the Old and New Side by Side — Briefly
For the first few days, keep your notebook as a backup if it makes your team more comfortable. Most businesses find they stop using it within a week, once everyone sees that BizCore is faster and the figures are right.
Your First Week Checklist
- Every sale recorded in BizCore, at every counter.
- Every supplier delivery received against a purchase order.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to set up BizCore?
Most businesses are selling on BizCore the same day. The longest step is usually counting opening stock; importing products, customers and staff from a spreadsheet takes minutes.
Can I import my existing products?
Yes. Download the products template, fill it from your current list, and upload it as CSV or Excel. BizCore matches your columns, shows a preview and lists any rows that need fixing before anything is saved.
What if my data has mistakes?
Every import is checked before it is saved. Product, customer and supplier imports can skip invalid rows if you choose; opening stock and opening balances must be fully correct, so your accounts are never half-imported.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required, and a single shop can stay on the free Starter plan.
